Alfie is a 10 year old Thoroughbred gelding who was sent for mounting training .Here is what Alfie’s owner, Tiffany, has to say:
‘We purchased Alfie for our daughter 2 months ago. He is a lovely boy but my daughter has major issues trying to mount. He won’t stand still and constantly moves around as she tries to get on. We have had a couple of successful mounts but the next time she goes back to ride again we have the same issues. We are just wanting to sort this out before it becomes more serious.”
Bob is a Thoroughbred gelding. Bob has previously been trained at Avoca Park to transition him from racehorse to pleasure horse. He has since grown and his owner, Stefan, now wishes to race him again. Bob has been doing 3 months beach training prior to his training.
Bob is currently in training at Avoca Park so stay tuned for new videos!
Maggie is a 4 year old Thoroughbred mare who was sent for training to improve her balance and help her racing.

‘Maggie was started as a late two year old and has three racing preparations. Maggie fractured her right hind tibia during a race in her second prep however has recovered without a hitch. Her race record is five starts for a win and three seconds. Maggie has been on spell the past 4 months and is ready to come back into work.’

Wilber is a 4 year old Arabian gelding who was brought to Avoca Park to be broken in and to consolidate his tie-up training.
His owner, Alex, says:“I brought Wilber as a stallion and had him gelded November 2016. I would like him broken in using Légèreté methods.I have been working slowly under instruction on the preparatory ground work.He lunges well in a halter, happy with saddle and bridle and we are now progressing his cavesson training.”
Watch this interesting video of Wilber exhibiting ‘plaiting’. This indicates a lack of strength and balance as a young horse.
